A Celebration of Design and Craftsmanship: Astras Céramique x APDIQ

We were honoured to participate in the 90th anniversary gala of @apdiq, a landmark event celebrating nearly a century of excellence in interior design in Québec. This special evening brought together designers, collaborators, and friends to celebrate talent, innovation, and the enduring impact of interior design on how we experience spaces.

A highlight of the gala was the award ceremony recognizing both established and rising interior designers. APDIQ is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of design talent, celebrating young and emerging stars who are shaping the future of Québec’s interior design landscape.

For this memorable occasion, Astras Céramique | Astras Ceramics contributed 240 handcrafted porcelain tableware pieces, designed specifically for the gala dinner. Each piece was created with attention to form, texture, and functionality, reflecting our studio’s signature approach: merging artistic vision with everyday utility. The collection for the evening was not only about serving a meal — it was about creating an experience where every detail, from plate to presentation, resonates with beauty and care.

In addition to the tableware, we designed six unique porcelain vessels for the floral arrangements, carefully crafted to harmonize with the natural forms and colors of the flowers. These vessels were intended to elevate the atmosphere, adding sculptural interest and a sense of organic elegance to each table setting.

This collaboration with APDIQ was more than an event contribution — it was a meeting of minds and values. The gala reflected the organization’s dedication to celebrating history, fostering creativity, and supporting both established designers and the next generation of rising stars. For Astras Céramique, it was a perfect opportunity to showcase how porcelain can bridge art, design, and human experience, transforming simple moments into memorable ones.
